話說大家正在找遍S3所有設定,卻苦尋不到 [USB大容量儲存裝置]如何啟動 之際,而我只是想測試一下OTG功能,於是將我在光華買的60元OTG線插上去,上方就會出現:[USB大容量儲存裝置已連結],要取消的話請按此處即可退出USB
所以 [USB大容量儲存裝置] 就這樣在接上OTG之後,自動啟用了

這時候開啟內建檔案管理員即可看到你的USB內檔案

既然已經入手S3,二話不說當然要先...不刷機,好好瞧瞧這S3裡面到底還有多少宣傳與體驗會裡,尚未揭露的「進階設定」
嘿嘿...果然有
- 可以自選[數字電量顯示]
-> 這下刷機的動機,又少了一個
- 可以自定OS對背景程式的管理原則(就是要沿用標準Android作法、還是像某牌的背景記憶體全部清空、或者是留1-4個程式的額度在背景運行)
-> 所以RAM記憶體要多要少,隨君滿意
...其他的,等我完成從i9000龐大的資料移轉工作後,再來發佈

(0601)我決定入手S3的理由
剛剛吃飯經過台哥大門市,順便問一下六月份資費是否出來
嗯,速度真快,已經出來了

但...結果是Note還是維持原價,並沒有降價
-> 也就是還是比S3高1000元(5990 vs. 4990)

於是,隨口便問一下是否有S3的Demo機
台哥大人員嘴角微微一笑,從櫃檯裡變出一台白色S3
櫃檯說,晚一點才會擺出來Demo

當下我就不客氣,立刻拿出在夜市買的50元電容觸控筆(沒錯,就是連10元商店都會賣的那種廉價觸控筆啦),試試看S Memo的反應....
-> 竟然比在我的i9000上滑順!
-> 這下子,我原本的疑慮頓時消失...

一定要測試的就是內建網路瀏覽器,可以開多少網頁....隨便測試一下7-8頁都行
-> 這下換我嘴角微微一笑...因為網路瀏覽器對與記憶體的高負載,果然是被考慮進去...

更糟的是,怎我之前買來給i9000用的iphone3套子,竟然能放進S3,只有露出一點點而已
-> 現在已經找不到理由,不敗入S3

類似S3刷屏解鎖畫面

- 請先至Google Play 搜尋&下載:Touch Ripples Free
- 接著下載我從S3 XX NEE ALE8版本ROM裡,抽取出來的S3桌布,所以尺寸是960x960 72dpi
- 以下設定方式,以我的i9000[JW4.自用版]為例,其餘包括S2/Note之設定方式,則大同小異。
1.將S3桌布壓縮包解壓縮&複製至你的手機裡
2.類似S3刷屏解鎖畫面:至[設定]-[顯示]-[桌布]-[鎖定螢幕桌布]裡,選擇S3_wallpaper_01.jpg
3.類似S3桌面底圖+水波特效:長按桌面-[桌布]-[動態桌布]->選擇[Touch Ripples Free]->[Select picture],選擇S3_wallpaper_01.jpg
-> 這樣一來,就會有類似S3的桌面效果。

- 剛好我正在看S3的ROM內容
先講講我目前看到的一些細節....

版本是I9300XXALE8
build.date是Sun May 13 06:50:29 KST 2012
屬於ICS 4.0.4版本

1.先節錄我看到的設定值

dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=8m
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=64m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m

在我的i9000[JW4.自用版]裡的設定是:dalvik.vm.heapsize=80m
而S3的記憶體是1G,i9000則是512MB
顯然S3的核心是有作過優化,因此搭配新增的指令可以有效維持記憶體效能

註:
- dalvik.vm是Android OS從2.2/2.2.1版之後,就有的

2.這一版ROM本身已經是包括簡體中文、繁體中文語言包
-> 應該是原廠為了全球統一上市,所做的準備。有別於以前的個別區域上市,會有歐版、亞洲版、各地區版本之類的狀況。

(0520)新增:S3優化核心_測試版(CF-Insecure-SGS3_XX_NEE_ALE8-v1.2)
基於持續深化本帖技術深度,先貼一些最新的更新訊息,讓大家對S3的核心特性有更深一層的認識與了解

- 這是xda的Chainfire大大根據S3 XX NEE ALE8版本ROM所做的優化核心,此版ROM據說是上市前的RC版(Release Candidate)
-> 此次S3的Kenerl打包格式,有別於之前i9000/S2/Note的zImage格式,是採用標準boot.img格式
-> 此優化核心因為屬於非常初步的樣態,只有將核心重新打包過將adb root command再包進去,好處是當你由USB連線可以透過adb 指令控制S3,前提是你要先開啟手機裡的除錯模式USB debugging。
-> 此優化核心需要手動安裝SuperSU(在Google Play可以下載),才能完整做好Root S3的步驟。
-> 此版本已經具備Recovery界面。
-> 有關Bootloaders,當你刷了此優化核心後,不會在開機時出現警告三角形,但在刷機(Download Mode)模式會出現刷機次數的紀錄
-> 此前的去除警告三角形(Triangle Away)方法,在S3似乎是無法奏效,有可能是如同Note最新版ROM的作法,將boot partitions隱藏起來的緣故。
請留意,此版本仍為尚未在實際上市版本S3測試過

說實話,今天三星版上討論S3的諸多篇幅裡,一半以上都是不懷好意來踢館的
再次重申...
本帖一直以來就是非常主觀地從我使用i9000開始的實際體驗,深入發掘更多我所了解的S3,並沒有一昧地吹捧S3,因為比S3更令人敬佩的是許多社群如xda的無償貢獻,讓包括i9000在內的Android裝置,更強大

況且,誰跟你說我要主觀地講S3與其他手機的優缺點評測了?…這些人真奇怪哩


給那群偽裝成某品牌支持者的嘴砲...
- 針對本帖內容,偽裝成某品牌支持者的嘴砲,如果還是看不懂的話,就不要勉強解釋
- 話說,本帖主旨如仍無法理解的話,建議不需要勉強參與討論(當然也就不需要爬文)
如果連這點都能自動忽略的話,只會輕率地扣上別人是h迷、s迷之類的,那就不值得大家花時間回應這樣的人

現在只要不如某版的意,就會被扣帽子
話說,我不在意S3打趴哪一隻手機,與本帖無關

- 本帖私心是為了我自己約滿要續約,考慮要入手S3或Note的整理,也分享給跟我一樣陷入長考的朋友
以下才是本文的開始...

S3的照片、影片、規格,想必已經是到處都有,我在這裡就不多贅詞了


...本帖僅從Samsung Galaxy S -> S2 -> S3的發展,簡單談此次我自己花一點時間搜索&爬文之後,所彙整&發掘出來的一些有關S3 新規格與設計的優勢,也作為我要選擇S3或Note的考量。

如果有持續關注Samsung Galaxy 及Galaxy Nexus的規格,會發現到S3其實是融合了前述幾款的優勢,並加上一些更貼心的界面設計
註:
-> 如果沒有持續關注的話,很可能不能理解我以下講的內容,也只能請先:搜索&爬文囉 


- 註:
如果是之前沒看過我文章的新朋友(包括路過想來砲S3的H迷們...),對於包括如「S3 紅中」、「3G H+」之類的基本問題不明瞭的 ,請自行至我之前的FAQ帖之連結爬文,即可。

外型:從外型、尺寸、比例來看,更像Google Galaxy Nexus。但採取的是實體觸控按鍵,而非Galaxy Nexus是虛擬按鍵。
高速連拍:避免某標榜高速連拍機種,為了滿足高速連拍的相片張數,而採用壓縮成像犧牲了相片品質之缺點。
註:
- 以同樣是800萬畫素的Note/S2拍照的單一檔案大小大概都在2.5~3.5mb之間,而該機種同樣800萬畫素所拍出來的檔案都在1.xmb
-> 相關照片檔案在01各品牌區,都有許多大大分享,我也是有爬過文之後知道的
...不爬文的話,也就幫不了你的忙囉。

- 如果有熟悉某標榜高速連拍機種之所以能比業界同樣畫素照相的檔案還要小的原因,亦請不吝分享其中奧妙,讓我們也能長長知識吧。謝謝!
- 誠如某大大所言,市面上所有手機的拍照都是經過壓縮,而非單眼DC的究極格式(如RAW),等S3正式上市後,再繼續深入研究是否也是採用了壓縮成像犧牲了相片品質之方式。

- S3是改成20張連拍且自動篩選品質較佳的作法,是正確的選擇。
-> 況且高速連拍的功能,如i9000之類的手機都能設定(別說你的Android手機不能設定此功能?!)。所以一直以來,不清楚此項為何成為今年各家手機標榜的優點之一。

- 超大電池容量(2100mA):Smart phone最重要的續航力,就是電池容量。
- Galaxy電池從1500mA(Galaxy S)->1650mA(Galaxy S2)->2100mA(Galaxy S3),決定了續航與重量的平衡。
-> 加上還能換電池,就是非常正確的作法。
(沒學壞,就對啦!)

- Audio晶片規格:Wolfson Micro WM1811
-> 這是與i9000同級的優異音效晶片

- 支援64G MicroSD:這一級距是直接跨越過去最高僅支援至32G的硬體規格。所以值得鼓勵。但算不上什麼特別強項。

- (0507)新增:C Pen
這次S3也有像Note的筆,叫做C Pen。是專為S3設計,僅3mm直徑的橡膠材質筆頭及鋁合金筆身
-> 我猜搭配pressure sensor之後的C Pen,比坊間一般的電容式觸控筆,更精細準確。不過,但不清楚與Note的電磁觸控筆S Pen的差異有多少。
- (0509)新增:有關pressure sensor之更正
此pressure sensor 在Galaxy Note及 Galaxy Nexus都有
其功能就是提供高精密度、低耗電量的氣壓計
只要安裝SyPressure (Barometer)就會檢查你是否有相關的Sensor
所以我之前猜測pressure sensor與C pen無關,特此更正。

- (0509)新增:GPU使用 ARM的Mali 400之優勢
- 其實這不是三星第一次使用Mali 400,在S2時就已經使用Mali 400,所以跑需要耗用大量繪圖資源之App,如高解析度Game或Video時,就會展現其優勢。
- 目前三星並沒公佈在S3使用的 Mali-400 是否經過優化或調高GPU頻率,不過依照已知的GPU數據已經遠遠超過S2的表現,可以合理推測Mail 400 在S3應該是有更勝於S2的優化
...當然也大勝目前號稱旗艦機的表現囉

貼心界面設計:

- 上方快捷列:已經採取類似[自用版]的作法,從原本的5項擴充至左右滑動的10項。這項作法是xda首先在i9000上,所做的突破之一喔(註:並非某些廠牌手機宣稱是他們先做)
- 刷屏解鎖+可自定新增最多四個icon:這裡值得注意的是除了解鎖之外,還可自定新增最多四個icon(電話、瀏覽器、相機等等)的快捷列在解鎖畫面上,也就是能夠從解鎖畫面直接開啟你屬意的App
-> 這項作法也是xda首先在i9000上,所做的突破之一喔(註:並非某些廠牌手機宣稱是他們先做)
-> 值得一提的是,當S3在刷屏解鎖畫面時,使用者只要按著手機屏幕、同時將手機由直式轉至橫式(Landscape)就會自動開啟相機功能。不用低頭找按鍵或摸索快門鍵,只要手勢就可以開啟相機。很方便的!

- LED indicator:應該是類似BLN的功能,但我目前還沒找到相關的訊息。
- Smart Alert:只要有未接來電或訊息,就會震動提醒。這就是我們在i9000上要裝BLN的用意啊。

- Smart Stay: 有用過i9000 Valuepack的XXJVU、XXJW4這兩版ROM之臉部辨識,就會知道XXJW4是多了使用前置鏡頭,做眨眼辨識。
-> 三星此回將此功能進一步發展成為Smart Stay,作為判斷使用者是否仍在注視(使用)手機,讓手機螢幕不再像是過去會因為沒有input動作而進入休眠&關閉螢幕
-> 這是一個很貼心的設計。

- S Beam!:也是基於Galaxy Nexus S Beam的加強版本,加上搭配NFC技術,可以讓兩部有S Beam!規格的裝置,能貼著就分享交換檔案。
- Social Tag: 如果有留意到主持人的口頭解說,就會清楚這是再次運用到臉部辨識技術的應用,將你拍過的照片Tag標示後的親友人臉彙整&自動分類,然後可透過社群分享。

- AllShare Play:[AllShare]是在i9000就有的功能,也就是[DLNA],可以與支援的裝置包括電視機、電腦等等,進行無縫分享。
-> 在S3則是多了透過Wifi通訊的[AllShare Cast 無線分享設備],能夠HDMI輸出至自家有支援HDMI的影音裝置上
-> 這比之前[DNLA]能支援的範圍更廣(註:並非某些廠牌手機宣稱是他們先做)。

- Pop Up Play:這是子母雙畫面播放,就在播映影片時,可另外開瀏覽器上網。這也需要下拉式選單,來切換。

- S Voice:根據使用者的語音指令,能夠直接解鎖及執行一些指令。
- 最酷的應該是能夠在待機狀態下,叫醒(Wake up)S3
-> 這是連iphone4s的siri都辦不到的功能
-> 其他的,等我弄得更清楚,才來補充。

- Direct Call:我重新看了unpack 的示範,應該是當你正在打訊息時,覺得怎麼越打越多,不如直接打電話給對方,所以順勢舉起手來,就會直接撥給對方(Direct Call)。

疑問與結論

1.雖然很多人覺得S3的相機怎還在8M/1.9M的規格,怎不跳上12M呢?
-> 這就不清楚了。

2.而CPU是1.4G 四核心+1G RAM,似乎沒有太讓人驚喜之處。

3.可惜的是,應該是基於市場區隔而沒有放入Note的S pan
-> 這很可能是讓我最後覺得還是選擇Note的原因..
-> 不過檢視S3的規格分析(本帖最後段),就會發現怎也有pressure sensor?
pressure sensor是Note壓感電磁觸控筆(S-Pan)的感應裝置,所以呢?

在S3一發表時候,我就發現到規格分析裡,是有pressure sensor,但upack發表會卻從頭到尾,都沒提到筆?

不清楚為何此時國外媒體才有C Pen的訊息報導出來
總之,確定了S3的確也是有筆的啦!
這下選擇S3的理由,似乎又增加了一些


4.部分評論員(如01版上)對於S3的邊攝影邊擷取照片,誤以為是某些廠商所獨有的新功能
-> 這是Android 4.0內建的功能,所以在Google Galaxy Nexus或i9000 ValuePack(ver 2.3.6 XXJVU/XXJW4)都有,絕非某廠商所新開發之功能。

Inside the Samsung Galaxy SIII – Something old, something new…

We’re trying something a little different this time around. We are publishing this teardown live with iFixit. We’ll keep our usual slant on some of the die while they will be looking at issues of repair-ability. We have had this phone on pre-order with several suppliers and given some of the delivery challenges we have been hearing, we got lucky when it arrived a couple of hours ago.

The Samsung Galaxy S III GT I9300 is Samsung’s newest flagship smart phone – a phone that, according to their marketing literature, has been “designed for humans”, which is a good thing since they group the phones features around concepts of “intelligence”, “sharing”, “greatness”, and “enhancements” – all things we humans tend to favor. For those primates that prefer bananas, we presume that they mean there is another (harder to use) phone for you out there.
On the hardware specification side, the phone features a huge Super AMOLED display, a powerful new processor, support for all of the latest communications protocols, an 8 megapixel camera and 11 hours of talk time. The battery is that variant with the NFC antenna built into it.
The variant we are tearing down here is not the LTE version. We are expecting that in our labs next week and will update things when we get it.


Board view and a look at something new – the applications processor

At right we are showing the board front and back.

The applications processor is the Samsung Exynos 4412, 32 nm CMOS, 1.4 GHz quad core ARM processor. The Exynos is in a standard PoP (Package-on-Package) assembly with a Samsung LP DDR2 Green Memory K3PE7E700M-XGC2.

It is notable that this is the same process generation as we documented in the Apple A5 rev 2, APL2498, also fabricated by Samsung and for which you can see the general structure.

This device is benchmarking extremely high as you can see in this Slashgear report. So something new, and good, for the Android phone community.

Storage (and other) memory is courtesy of the Samsung KMVTU000LM which is a multi-chip Samsung MOVI N and memory module.




Samsung 32 nm Process General Structure
Supporting a plethora of communications standards
Borrowing from the last generation Galaxy S II is the Intel Wireless PMB9811X Gold Baseband that was also used in the Samsung Galaxy S II. On the WIFI side of things, located in the Murata module with the part number KM2322007, we have the Broadcom BMC4330 supporting all the standards with the notable exception of GPS.GPS is handled by the Broadcom BCM47511 Monolithic GNSS receiver.

Skyworks scores another big win with their SKY77604 Multi-Mode / Multi-Band Power Amplifier.

You see a lot of technology from companies like Skyworks due to the huge number of bands that are supported. As mentioned in the introduction, we will be getting an LTE version of this phone next week and will update a teardown with a more comprehensive story on the wireless chips.



Summary of other silicon catalogued at the time of publication

Sony 8 Mp 1.4 µm back-illuminated primary (rear facing) image sensor. Our preliminary analysis shows this to also be a new sensor – more to come.

Melfas 8PL533 Touch Screen Controller. This new one, according to package markings, is going in for depot, but for reference we are showing the “8PK” version taken from the Galaxy SII at right.
